Website Development in Malta.
Every website I ship is hand-coded — no page builders, no bought templates, no plugin soup. That’s why they load fast, rank well and don’t break the third time you update them. I’m a website developer who also designs, so what gets built is exactly what was designed — nothing lost between the two. Based in Malta, building for local businesses and international brands. (Looking for the design side first? See Web Design in Malta.)
Why custom-built wins
Speed you can feel
Hand-written code, optimised images and no template bloat: pages that load in well under a second — which Google rewards and visitors reward more.
SEO-ready from the first line
Semantic markup, structured data, sitemaps and clean URLs are built in during development — not bolted on by a plugin afterwards.
Built to be maintained
A tidy, documented codebase with a proper CMS where you need one. Updating content is easy; extending the site later doesn’t mean starting over.
How we’ll work
- 01
Scope & architecture
We define the pages, features and integrations — bookings, payments, CMS, multilingual — and pick the lightest stack that does the job properly.
- 02
Build in the open
You watch the site come together on a live preview link and give feedback as it’s built — no six-week silence followed by a big reveal.
- 03
Launch, measure, harden
Deployment, analytics, performance budgets and SEO checks on launch day — then a warranty period where anything that isn’t right gets fixed, fast.
Website work.
All websitesFAQs
What’s the difference between web design and website development?
Design decides how the site looks and works; development is the engineering that builds it — code, CMS, performance, integrations. I do both, so nothing gets lost in translation. This page covers the build side; the design side lives on the Web Design in Malta page.
Why not just use WordPress with a theme, or Wix?
Builders and bought themes are fine until you need speed, custom features or reliable SEO — then their bloat and lock-in start costing you. A hand-coded site is faster, more secure and grows with the business instead of against it.
Can you take over or rebuild an existing website?
Yes — rebuilds are most of my work. I can even build you a free working prototype of the new version of your current site first, so you see exactly what you’d get before committing.
Do you handle hosting, domains and email?
Yes. I set up fast, appropriately-sized hosting, point the domain, sort the SSL and email records, and hand you the keys — everything stays in your name and your ownership.
How long does a website take to develop?
A focused business site typically takes 3–6 weeks from kick-off to launch; larger builds with custom features take longer. You’ll get a concrete timeline in the proposal — and a prototype up front if you want proof first.
Ready when you are.
Tell me what the site needs to do — I’ll reply within a working day, and can start with a free prototype so you see it working first.
